Sentry Safe was started during the Great Depression in the 1930's as the Brush-Punnett Company. They had a simple formula of "quality products and reasonable prices through innovative engineering" that guided the company and allowed it to thrive. They are still a family owned company, led by third generation members of the Brush family, but changed their name to the Sentry Group in 1987. Though based out of New York, they have a global presence, producing more safes and fire resistant chests than any other company in the world.
